1953 Martin D-28

No "Mystery" about the spruce, as it was re-topped by Martin back in 1988. The original owner requested that the new top be the same grade of spruce as they used on the D-45, as well as new scalloped  braces, binding, and bridge. According to the work order, they also had to refinish the sides. This was the 3rd time the guitar was sent back to Martin for repairing loose braces. Currently, the action is slightly high, but certainly very playable. Brazilian rosewood. Sounds like a cannon! Paperwork from Martin is included.
